Eight years ago this month, I took a leap of faith and started Your Richest Life. It’s been an exciting and challenging journey, and I’m so grateful for all I’ve learned along the way.
The past year has been yet another difficult one, with steep inflation, high interest rates and market volatility. But within these challenges are some opportunities, and I have been navigating these situations with my clients along the way. (Link to new posts)
In late 2021, I was honored to receive D Magazine’s Best Financial Planners in Dallas award for the seventh year in a row. I also received the Investopedia Top 100 Financial Planner distinction for the third year in a row. I am so thankful to everyone who nominated me for these awards, and feel very fortunate to call many of the planners on these lists my friends and colleagues.
The Your Richest Life team grew this year, welcoming Erin McIntosh as a client services associate in the spring. Erin has been a major asset to the planning, organization and scheduling sides of the business.
This year, my family and I went skiing in Santa Fe, visited the beach in Destin, hiked the mountains in Colorado, and went glamping in a cabin in Beavers Bend, OK.
Our furbabies, Fran the greyhound and Lily the terrier mutt, are also doing well.
Your Richest Life by the Numbers
Here are some of the highlights of my eight years in business:
-Worked with over 160 families to date
-Working with over 40 families on an ongoing basis
-Expanding the Your Richest Life team
-Writing more than 190 blog posts for my own website
-Listed as a D Magazine Best Financial Planner for the seventh year in a row
-Named an Investopedia Top 100 Financial Advisor for the third time
As a fee-only financial planner, I am committed to helping my clients achieve overall financial well-being. I love the work I do because I get to work with my awesome clients while still having the freedom to give back to the community and spend time with my family.
As always, I want to thank my husband and my daughter for supporting me at every step along the way. They are my biggest cheerleaders, and I couldn’t do it without them.
I have also been fortunate to be surrounded by friends and mentors in the industry who have been kind enough to offer a helping hand, a new idea or a different perspective along the way.
And of course, thank you to my clients for trusting me with your questions, your dreams and your fears. I have been honored to work with so many amazing people from the beginning. I am looking forward to what this year has in store for Your Richest Life.
